Large Company has a Contract-Hire Opportunity in Meriden, CT

Candidates must have a strong mechanical backgrounds such as car repair, small engine repair, industrial mechanics, etc.

90 day project with possibility of conversion for the right fit.

3 openings for 2nd Shift (2:30 pm - 11:00 pm, M-F) and 3rd Shift (10:30 pm - 7:00 am, Su-Th).

* Responsible for the monitoring, operation of production equipment, and packaging of finished goods in a safe manner on the designated team in order to comply with product specifications and current Good Manufacturing Practices. Operation of equipment includes performing setup/startup/shutdown of equipment, changeovers, code/liquid/packaging changes, troubleshooting activities, problem solving, sanitizing & cleaning equipment, and minor maintenance. Operator II may be responsible routine inspections of finished goods and completion of applicable quality documents in accordance with established procedures and specifications.

* Promote a safe work environment by using all safety equipment and appropriate PPE required for each job while ensuring/maintaining a clean and organized work area.

* Maintain a high quality level on every job performed in order to satisfy company and customer expectations, while consistently following current GMP's.

* Verify lot number and proper product labeling and quality while packaging finished goods into boxes as per applicable packaging procedure

* Monitor production yields production output maximization, while focused on scrap reduction.

* Update logbooks, checklists, and area inspections as necessary following existing good documentation practice

* Participate in the execution of production/process development experiments

* Demonstrate ability to be an effective Team member include contributing to cleanliness & organization, problem solving, participation in Team meetings and events

* Completes other similar assignments as required by Supervisor

* Assist with setup, basic troubleshooting and maintenance of packaging equipment

* Monitor packaging equipment to ensure line is running to established standards

* Perform basic level Quality functions such as but not limited to: rejecting web, signing raw materials in a batch record, pulling samples (liquid and swab)

* Perform in-process finished product inspection tasks

* Production Operators work in support of the Manufacturing, Quality Assurance and Engineering areas.Posted by StartWire
