**Job Description**

+ Possess working knowledge of Electrical Power Distribution and Lighting Circuits with voltage rating of DC to 500 Volts and AC to 480 Volts.

+ Possess knowledge of motors and motor control circuits, including AC, DC (Servo preferred, not required), drives and able to maintain and troubleshoot.

+ Possess knowledge of relay control circuits including ladder logic and latching circuits and able to trouble shoot.

+ Able to read and understand schematics and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs. Allen Bradley preferred.

+ Ability to assemble and wire new control panels according to N.E.C. and engineer?s instructions.

+ Able to use Voltmeter, Ammeter, Oscilloscope (preferred, not required) for troubleshooting and draw schematics.

+ Possess knowledge of photoelectric sensors, proximity sensors, hall effect sensors, reed switches, actuators, and mechanical switches. Able to troubleshoot and determine correct type of output sinking or sourcing on above components.

+ Record keeping, excellent communication skills, able to analyze problems simply.

+ Able to operate power tools and possess good soldering skills.

+ Able to use and understand PC DOS and Windows. Understanding of serial, Ethernet, and LAN communications.

+ Able to work to a height of 40 feet above ground on occasion.

+ Ability to operate forklifts, man lifts, cherry pickers, and other industrial vehicles.


+ Electrical Technical School Graduate or trade/military equivalent.

+ Possess five-year minimum trade experience.

+ Possess State of Connecticut E2 License or above.

+ Possess thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (N.E.C.). Example: wire sizing, fusing, practices, safeties, Lock-Out/Tag Out, Emergency Stop circuits, grounding and use of handbook.
