?? Provide trauma based therapy using the latest trauma therapy techniques.
?? Counsel clients, individually or in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and embracing positive change. Document all services provided.
?? Weekly case sessions with behavioral staff.
?? Crisis management and intervention.
?? Treatment plan development based on client goals and clinical experience and knowledge.
?? Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
?? Highly collaborative environment. Work with other staff members to perform peer to peer supervision, perform clinical assessments, or develop treatment plans.
?? Monitor client medications and lab results.
?? Liaise with utilization review and billing staff on required clinical information and documentation
?? Maintain all required licensure and stay up to date on new treatment developments
?? Any other duties as required
?? Knowledge of recovery, mental health and other co-occurring disorders;
?? Experience in working with chemical dependency in a residential and outpatient milieu;
?? Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills;
?? Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a positive collaborative relationship among staff;
?? Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
?? Extensive Trauma Treatment training/certification.
?? Minimum of three years of experience working in the substance abuse treatment field.
?? Minimum master's level education in behavioral health field or licensure with the Connecticut Department of Public Health as an alcohol and drug counselor (LADC).
