Linux Configuration Management
-Perform off-shift work and participate in rotating on-call coverage.
-Participate in cross-functional technical projects that require the Linux Server platform as a component of the solution.
-Provide performance tuning, capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, and automation guidance for systems and applications.
-Work closely with technical owners of applications to plan, deploy, and troubleshoot new or upgraded functions.
-Prepare documentation (procedural, planning, informational), to support Systems Administration.
-Work as part of a team of system administrators to ensure performance, reliability, and security on Linux systems in a dynamic 24/7 production data center environment.
-Help ensure that Systems Design strategies meet the current and future needs
-Operate as a key contributor to departmental planning and long-range technical development
Required Education and Experience
-Experience working in an environment with complex networking including firewalls.
-Experience working with enterprise monitoring solutions.
-Demonstrated skill at troubleshooting and resolving problems on complex Linux systems.
-Experience with configuration management (Chef ideally) and automation technologies.
-Deep knowledge and experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
-Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field and 4 - 6 years of related technical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
