Chef / Sous Chef
We are Eli's Restaurant Group. Our group owns and operates multiple properties in the New Haven Connecticut area and is rapidly expanding by adding new locations. It is our belief that the kitchen is the heart of the operation, and the success or failure of that restaurant depends on quality of the staff running the kitchen. We are looking for a solid culinary professional to train, support, supervise and work alongside our culinary team.
The best candidate for the position is a person that has the passion and respect for food and the ability to generate that passion among the staff. We feel that to do so require an individual that possesses strong technical skills and exceptional communication abilities; someone that can effectively get that message across, someone that can lead by example and guide the staff to success. -Minimum five years experience as a Head Chef or similar experience in a high volume a la carte restaurant, this is a working position.
-Culinary degree or similar training preferred
-Must maintain a professional demeanor with both front and back of the house staffs
-Excellent communication skill, bilingual preferred
-Must be able to hold subordinates accountable
