Headquartered in Baltimore, MD, the company treats biosolids, the organic by-product of the wastewater treatment process, into environmentally friendly by-products which are primarily used as fertilizers on farm crops and provides related services to over 600 clients across 37 states and Washington, D.C.

We are currently recruiting for a Plant Manager located in Waterbury, CT. Here are some highlights on this position:

Position Summary

Provide leadership & manage the overall facility processes. This position insures a safe work environment, compliance with all governing regulations and optimum performance of the site operation.

Essential Functions

* Work safely, exhibit and demonstrate safe behaviors at all times

* Ensure facility is operated safely and establish preventative practices to continue to improve the safety performance and culture of the site.

* Ensure site is in full compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations

* Ensure adherence to operations standards and best practices for safety, environmental compliance and operational efficiencies.

* Ability to communicate effectively and to manage relationships with all levels of the organization as well as all outside entities (customers, vendors, community, regulators, etc.)

* Provide leadership and effectively motivate team

* Develop site strategies that are aligned with company and business vision.

* Actively manage P&L, budget development, goal-setting, forecasting, and capital management.

* Demonstrates strong change management, process and continuous improvement skills.

* Sound problem solving and critical thinking skills

* Effective time management & ability to manage multiple priorities

* Maintain, develop and improve relationships with customers, local authorities, regulatory agencies, and local communities.

* Foster and develop positive employee relations

* Develop and train employees to improve business performance and continue to attract and retain the best possible employees.



* Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, industrial or environmental engineering or related degree. Related work experience will be considered


* 5 - 10 years management experience

* Plant Management in industrial environment


* P & L responsibility

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Ability to travel as required

* Computer proficiency

* Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus

* Strong ability to implement and execute a CMMS-based reliability progra

* Deliver process and continuous improvement

* Strong time management and problem solving skills
