A member of the Field Communications Team, the Communications Specialist - Global creates, edits, and delivers content to drive the success of our franchisees. With a primary focus on our global functions, he/she performs a consultative role and partners with respective communications colleagues, functional teams, and their leadership to engage an audience of more than 400,000 stakeholders across the globe. He/She:

* Understands business goals and strategies

* Identifies communication challenges, opportunities and synergies

* Formulates key messages

* Supports the creation and implementation of strategic communication plans that align with brand promise and long-term business goals

* Develops purposeful and persuasive communications that help ensure franchisee success and support the overall corporate culture

* Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment

* Builds solid relationships and partnerships with organizational leaders and functional contacts

* Leads without authority

* Creates dynamic content to connect franchisees to the organization and business goals

* Manages projects in a deadline-driven environment

* Quickly learns new technologies to drive more effective engagement

* Collaborates with colleagues across the globe

* Partners with the Web Content Team to deliver a best-in-class experience

* Identifies communications opportunities and/or needs based on interactions with corporate and field contacts

* Is a proactive team player and business partner

* Uses analytic tools to measure communications effectiveness throughout the content lifecycle (end-to-end communications)

The successful candidate will have:

* Bachelor's degree in Marketing and/or Communications

* Minimum 5 - 7 years in an internal, corporate, strategic, agency, or marketing communications role

* Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint

* Creative design experience leveraging Adobe Creative Suite/Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat is a plus

* Experience with various content management systems. Sitecore is a plus

* Expert at collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including corporate executives and business leaders

* Skilled at supporting the development and execution of communication plans via myriad media

* Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills

* Strong attention-to-detail and high degree of initiative and resourcefulness, with a service-oriented attitude

* Superior problem-solving and organizational skills

* Able to prioritize and manage projects independently from conception to delivery

Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Works closely with internal teams to understand the business, assess communication challenges and opportunities, recommends and produces appropriate content and method of delivery to franchisees

* Produces materials to explain significant business issues and initiatives to franchisee community in a timely, clear and effective manner via various communication technology

* Collaborates with all levels and departments of the organization across the globe to ensure consistent messaging on all communications platforms

* Rotates with team colleagues to provide after-hours support to communicate issues that may affect franchisee processes and/or operations
