Marketing Communications Coordinator Sr. (Creative Development)

Location: Any US location. Thousand Oaks, CA is the preferred location.

As a Marketing Communications Coordinator Sr, you will be responsible for facilitating all steps of large, high profile marketing communication project workflows and leading the development of member pre-enrollment materials for the Group Retiree Solutions business segment. Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:

* Works with Marketing Communications areas to facilitate projects through all stages (research, design, writing, proofreading, review, printing, mailing and archival) to ensure product is produced in a timely, accurate, and effective manner.

* Works with internal creative teams and external preferred Anthem agency partners for creative development through versioning.

* Acts as primary client interface and collaborates with business partners and SMEs on projects such as collecting critical information and getting approvals from internal Subject Matter Experts (Operations, Sales Support, Compliance, Legal, Implementation, Product and Clinical).

* Updates and develops sales-focused marketing materials in accordance with state/Federal regulations

* Reviews requests and recommends communication solutions as needed.

* Schedules and leads project meetings with business partners.

* Acts as project manager for workflow process and is responsible for ensuring consistency and standardization on all materials such as working with production and fulfillment vendors to upload creative and provide in a press ready format for future orders.

* Coordinates project reviews and re-negotiates terms/deadlines as appropriate.

* May be involved as required in creation of production schedules, form number assignment, source file requests and estimating levels of effort.

* Works with Marketing Communications team lead to prioritize team tasks, assess project quality, and provide leadership and guidance to associates on their assigned projects.

* Coordinates closely with the production team the specifications of materials, deadlines and ensuring all assets are included with press ready files.

* Identifies process improvements/efficiencies, and supports business initiatives (standardization, going paperless, etc.).


Requires a BA/BS degree; 5 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Prior health care industry experience and project/process management skills preferred.

Additional Qualifications

* Candidate must be organized, detail oriented, a fast learner, and able to work in fast-paced environment.

* Must have proven creative development background and experience including developing sales-focused materials.

* Must possess strategic mindset with the ability to convey strategy through creative solutions, presentations, and/or materials.

* Background and experience developing creative materials for federal/state regulated industries.

* Prior agency experience a plus!
