GENERAL SUMMARY:The Bulk Technical Support Coordinator works closely with the Field Service Manager to determine equipment needs for new Bulk Gas installations and develop site plans for new installations when needed. The Tech support specialist will document the required equipment specifications, develop technical drawings for internal use, work with contracted engineering firms, and assist as needed in processing purchase orders for newly approved projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Works with Project Managers to properly develop a Project Scope of Work and corresponding Project Cost Calculator. Works closely with the warehouse and to facilitate the ordering of Bulk Gas equipment for new Bulk Gas system installations.
  • Works closely with customer Engineers and Airgas vendors to obtain quotes for custom equipment systems.
  • Creates site plans for bulk installations using CAD or Visio.
  • Ensures that new bulk installations will meet the requirements of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), CGA (Compressed Gas Association), and ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers).
  • Supports Field Service team by reviewing and inspecting newly received equipment for upcoming projects.
  • Runs reports to ensure all purchase orders are submitted to vendors and equipment is on schedule.
  • Works closely with Bulk Project Managers in the field to ensure equipment is on schedule.
  • Assist Field Service Technicians with technical questions - researches questions with vendors to obtain answers.
  • Assist with Job Hazard Analysis documentation for new bulk system installation projects.
  • Assist with System Failure analysis schematics and diagrams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • Training or Certification in CAD or drafting preferred Required Length & Type of Experience:
  • Prior experience or knowledge of plumbing materials is a plus.
  • Prior experience using SAP strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent customer service & communication skills. Demonstrates a clear and effective speaking manner for the purpose of explaining information to customers and employees and strong customer service skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Experience working with Visio or CAD for creating drawings and site plans.
  • Knowledge of the following codes preferred: NFPA, CGA, ASME.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percent.
  • Self-starter; self-motivated; operates with a sense of urgency; ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated dedication to product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well both as a team and independently.
