* Performs all assembly operations in assembly and packaging.

* Perform electromechanical assembly tasks.

* Effectively meets quality, quantity and process flow requirements; assemble products that meet quality standards and production goals.

* Demonstrates production knowledge and understanding, while performing inspection, including traceability, process inspection and batch verification.

* Participates in team decision making, and develops team problem solving and communication skills.

* Conforms to all safe work practices, quality standards, and GMP regulations.

* Meets attendance and punctuality requirements.

* Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.

* Works independently, as required.

* Assists in special projects and assignments.

* Supports lean initiatives in respective work area by working to sustain lean benefits after a lean event.

* Clear understanding of 6S, line balancing (Kaizen), communication boards and standard work.

* Documents inspections on applicable forms with minimal documentation errors, where applicable.

* Must be available and willing to cross-train in other dept., as needed.

* Ability to work with or be in the presence of chemicals used in production, where applicable.

* Other duties assigned with or without accommodation.


* High School Diploma or GED required

* Must be proficient in English language (required)

* Ability to read, understand and adhere to production processes (SOP's) and procedures.

* Capable of following the rules and regulations under the Quality Standards, GMP (cleanroom work environment) and OSHA guidelines.

* Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment.

* Effective manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination.

* Ability to operate assembly parts and equipment.

* Exhibits Covidien key behaviors

* Must be dependable, punctual and arrive at workstation on-time on a daily basis.

* At least six (6) months of related experience.

* Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment

* Intermediate soldering skills

* Electromechanical assembly skills

* IPC-A-610 Certified

* J-STD-001 Certified
