GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

* The Quality Systems Manager is responsible for the assessment andcoordinated development of robust & standardized quality systems thatcomply with the requirements of ISO9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 for theWest Haven site. The QA Manager plans, coordinates, and manages QA activitiesdesigned to ensure continual production of products consistent with establishedcompany quality standards and customer requirements. The QA Manager establishes, maintains andimproves quality systems as well as determines whether mfg. processes havesufficient capability to meet quality requirements through statisticaltechniques/SPC, and recommends, trains, and follows through on improvementefforts. This includes the planning and engineering of the organization's QualitySystem infrastructure, implementation and support of Compliance Pro (C-Pro). Where feasible, management system robustnessmeans integrating key business applications such as JDE, LIMS, and C-Pro todrive system efficiencies and Poke Yoke throughout the AES organization. The position requires expertise in a varietyof concepts, practices, and procedures. The QA Manager leads and directs the work of others.

STRATEGIC FOCUS:

* Maintain ISO 9001 as the quality system management tool.

* Partner with OH&S to integrate ISO 9001 (QMS) with ISO 14001 (EMS) and OHSAS 18001 (OH&S) for a true integrated management system in QSI.

* Effectively implement the Enterprise Management System "Compliance Pro" across the organization with value add system workflows that comply with the company' standards of excellence and certifications as applicable (ISO/TS 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001).

* Become the expert for the organization, which includes set-up and configuration, electronic system development and integration with other applications, development of objectives, targets, dashboards and metrics for key systems, training key stakeholders, executing, and driving system continual improvement.

* Demonstrated capacity to work with Microsoft Office Products, LotusNotes, and other critical computer applications.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelor's degree in a technical field of study (Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering etc.) from a four-year college or university in an engineering or technical discipline; 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Exceptionalskills with computer systems

* Strong projectmanagement skills

Preferred candidates will have:

* Previous workexperience with: WinLIMs, ERP systems, Minitab

* Previousexperience with managing, modifying and developing system capabilities to matchbusiness needs. SDL2017
