In-House Video Editing Specialist
American Cruise Lines operates small, luxury cruise ships in the US. Our rapid growth and specialized marketing program leads us to seek a Media Production Specialist and Video Editor in our Guilford, CT corporate offices. Candidates should be highly motivated, ambitious and eager to join our growing creative team.
This is a full-time, on-site position for someone with digital video editing experience to run all aspects of a small video department. As a member of the creative department, you will be tasked maintaining overall brand themes and campaigns. You will be required to perform all pre- and post-production work, including organizing shoots, shooting, and editing. Applicants must be proficient in utilizing non-linear editing systems including Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro to produce promotional videos and advertisements, as well as video for internal corporate training and recruiting. You will edit raw video and audio footage, design motion graphics, create graphic elements, and adapt digital images. You will also encode and deliver digital files in a wide variety of compressions and methods.
Proficiency in all Adobe Creative Suite Programs (Especially Premiere Pro and After Effects)
Knowledge of Final Cut Pro editing systems
Ability to coordinate and shoot video (Using a Cannon 5D Mark IV DSLR)
Understanding of video compression techniques
Project organization and management skills
Interaction with senior staff and marketing to deliver successful materials in a timely, cost-effective manner
Additional proficiencies & skills (A plus but not required)
Basic photography, photo editing, and graphic design
Knowledge of Marine/Nautical environments
Drone piloting and aerial videography/photography (DJI Inspire II, DJI Mavic)
Ability and eagerness to travel
The ideal candidate may be:
A recent graduate with specialization in video production with demonstrated competency in the above mentioned programs.
An individual with 1-3 years of major market experience using the above mentioned programs.
