CNC Lead Person

Our shop specializes in machining high quality plastic components for customers in the Life Science field, who have very high expectations on delivery and quality. In this hands-on position, the CNC Lead Person leads the scheduling, productivity & quality of a skilled workforce to achieve departmental objectives within the CNC Milling department.

Job functions include, but are not limited to:

Schedule all jobs through Milling department to ensure deadlines are met

Assign work to appropriate team members and evaluate performance

Assist with planning of set ups and fixtures needed for jobs

Track jobs throughout process daily and optimize production

Effectively communicate with management to respond to customer schedule inquiries

Trains & develops Mill machinists

Work with Machinist and Engineers to troubleshoot machining and production issues.

Promotes and maintains a positive work environment.

Keeps work area clean and organized to insure safety and environmental compliance.

Responsible for the development, discipline, and management of their employees

Conducts regular communication meetings with crew regarding safety, quality, and productivity.

Seek solutions to minimize down-time and increase efficiency

Job Requirements

1. High school Diploma.

2. 5+ years direct work experience in a CNC machining environment.

3. 3+ years of previous Lead/Supervisory work experience

4. Expert level CNC knowledge

5. Ability to develop a team environment

6. Demonstrated excellent problem-solving capabilities

7. Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
