Johnstone Supply, located in Connecticut, is looking to expand our sales force. We are a sales-oriented company seeking a results driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team. Johnstone Supply has been providing brand name products, expert technical knowledge and superior customer service to the HVAC/R (heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration) industry since 1953. We are locally owned and operated and are backed by the national buying power of over 400 stores and five regional distribution centers. We provide our large customer base with a superior supplier relationship as well as our long history of industry expertise, knowledgeable associates, and established reputation for quality and value.

Job Requirements:

* Responsible for accounts throughout Connecticut

* Minimum of 2 years in a similar position

* HVAC/R Industry experience required

* Wholesale distribution experience preferred

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Committed to superior customer service

* Excellent computer skills, experience with CRM systems a plus

* Knowledge of customer business needs

* Strong work ethic, able to work in a fast-paced environment

* Must have a valid driver's license

* Must pass pre-employment testing

* Additional education, Bachelors degree preferred

Job Summary:

Develop new prospects as well as interaction with existing customers. Responsible for growing sales to achieve annual sales goals. Responsible for prospecting for new accounts, retaining existing accounts and increasing opportunities with existing customers.

Tasks, Responsibilities and Accountability:

* Conducts on-site customer visits with new and existing customers. Manages sales volume with existing group of customers. Prospects successfully to expand customer base

* Forecasts, prospects and bids for new business to include customers, markets and additional opportunities

* Maintains existing customer partnerships as well as building new ones. Develops and sustains sales relationships with key decision makers and influences on all levels of an organization

* Shares market and competitor information with all applicable channels within the organization while establishing relationships and working partnerships

* Partners with customers, vendors, inside sales and accounting to resolve all customer service issues

* Identifies customer product needs and coordinates execution of orders

Work Environment:

* Requires intermittent periods during which continuous exertion is required, such as walking, standing, bending and lifting.
