JOB DESCRIPTION

PositionTitle: Manager, Global ProcessEngineering (GPEG)

Location: Waterbury, CT

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: To administer programs to manage the processengineering function at MacDermid Performance Solutions.

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Act as coordinator for managing process control plans,process reaction plans and process management strategies to include SPC and SixSigma and statistically supported methodologies.

* Develops and oversee Process FMEA's, Disaster RecoveryPlans for critical processes and Business Continuity Plans for criticalprocesses.

* Oversee and update organization on process transfers, copyexactly process, and continual improvement of key and critical manufacturingprocesses.

* Lead and support best practices approaches and projectimplementation toward this to include project scoping, budget development andmanagement and timeline performance.

* Key contributor to Global Process Engineering Group forprocess transfers, manufacturing capabilities, best practices implementation,and process control leadership.

* Develop process control plans for critical processesincluding reaction plans, process FMEA and associated controls

* Develop, use and oversee SPC related activities used inthe manufacturing processes for the US operations.

* Develop and maintain Business Continuity Plans forCritical Processes interfacing with Plant Management, Technical Staff,Procurement and Regulatory as appropriate.

* Develop and maintain Disaster Recovery Plans for criticaloperations in the manufacturing operations for the US sites.

* Provide training and oversite to the continuousimprovement programs at manufacturing sites including use of SPC and controlplans, best practices, project management and latest technologies to lean themanufacturing process.

* Provideengineering support to plant management as needed.

* Provide manufacturing assessments with regard toimprovement strategies for cost reduction, efficiency, and HSE incorporatedinto manufacturing and waste management processes.

* Operate equipment and follow procedures in accordance withISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards.

* Provide engineering leadership in the transfer ofprocesses to facilities to include project management, adherence to customerrequirements, copy exact as appropriate etc.

EDUCATION AND/OREXPERIENCE:

* Bachelor's degree - preferablyin Chemical Engineering

* Four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalentcombination of education and experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Aminimum of ten years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.

* Ability to workcross-functionally across all levels of management within the organization.

* Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time, globally.
