Engineering Co-Op

An Engineering Co-Op is needed to collaborate with New Product Development Engineers in the

development of laparoscopic surgical instruments. This position will run from Late May through December 2018. Seeking an undergrad biomedical major for this role. Minimum GPA: 3.0


* Perform mechanical evaluation of new medical devices

* Develop and perform statistical data analysis of new experiments

* Draft protocols and reports

* Prepare and operate various lab equipment such as Instrons, Force Gauges, Calipers, Optical Measurement Systems, and assembly equipment

* Use standard techniques, theories and tools to identify and develop solutions to technical problems

* Gain exposure to cross-functional product design team

* Gain exposure to product development process
