POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the supervision, direction, and support of assigned production departments. Responsible for the overall management of the daily production work flow, along with processing prioritization/ scheduling, training, and troubleshooting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Schedule, prioritize, and provide work assignments for department employees, ensuring the maximum utilization of department machinery and human resources.

Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly work flow and payroll.

Train and supervise employees in a cell atmosphere and assess their performance; assign and empower cell leaders to achieve work goals with the up-most quality and safety standards

Interpret detailed blueprints, drawings, and specifications, and assist Engineering in determining measures to improve efficiencies, methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

Responsible to establish and maintain a maintenance program for machines and equipment, and to troubleshoot and coordinate any repair work that is required to keep equipment running efficiently and safely

Complete paperwork required for inventory, Work Orders, Scrap Reports, Test Logs, Data Sheets, and any others required

Ensure cells meet expected productivity standards and scheduled requirements to guarantee on time delivery to customers

Report all suspect material or process problems to appropriate personnel, including availability of adequate tooling and materials

Monitor daily schedules and check for shortages with Planning and Sub-assembly and inform cell leaders of status

Ensure that cells have access to the latest revision specification drawings, Bill of Materials, process sheets and routers

Support RMA investigations and coordinate rework with Quality department

Assist with production (assembly, sub-assembly, setup, testing, CNC programming and setup, etc.) as required

Ensure that finished work is prepared for shipment or storage as required.

Maintain product and process quality standards as established by company

Follow standard practices and procedures as outlined by policy

Maintain manufacturing area in a clean and orderly condition

Identify, promote, lead continuous improvement activities.

Ensure that all operations are performed with the utmost regard for the safety and health of all personnel involved.

Be a positive and professional role model for employees

Perform all other duties as assigned or required

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization?s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining behaviors; addressing complaints and resolving issues.
