Office Manager/Bookkeeper Needed!

Experienced in accounting as a Full Charge Bookkeeper? Interested in taking on new challenges and opportunities to further your career? Accountemps is seeking a Office Manager/Bookkeeper to prepare and process financial statements and accounts and manage all general accounting and office administration functions. The strongest candidates for this position will have excellent organizational skills, strong communication tactics, and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines. This long term temporary-to-fulltime Full Charge Bookkeeper opportunity is based in the North Branford, Connecticut area.

What you get to do every single day

- Handling bank and general ledger reconciliations, as well as payroll processing

- Handling processing tasks for accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections

- Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close

- Producing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet and statements of income and of cash flows

- Maintaining adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements by keeping up to date on them, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions

- Carefully filing documents to preserve historical records

- HR and Benefits Administration

- Full charge bookkeeping experience desired

- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

- Previous experience utilizing an accounting software

- Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities

- HR/Benefits experience preferred

- Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds

- Proficient in accrual and cash basis of accounting
