Connecticut Basement Systems, in Seymour, CT, is looking for Cash Application Specialist to help with daily work. This position is responsible for cash application, A/R functions ensuring efficiency and accuracy of accounts receivable balances. This position records and posts all payments, adjustments and data into customer accounts.   • All payments are applied timely and accurately
  • Accuracy and thoroughness with posting and balancing transactions
  • Process and applies all daily cash receipts (checks, credit cards, ACH's and wires)
  • Process approved request to correct misapplied payments, credit and debit adjustments
  • Maintains system integrity during reconciliation process to ensure proper balancing occurs on batches posted.
  • Reconciles misapplied cash and other AR accounting issues
  • Assist with month end and A/R close process
  • Back up to accounts receivable invoicing, assist with A/P data entry when needed
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy
  • Must have a basic comprehension of accounting and general ledger


  • 3-5 years cash application/accounts receivable
  • Experience with mid-size to large company ERP systems
  • Microsoft
  • Intermediate excel skills
  • Team player
  • Detail oriented
  • Multi-task effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to perform a large volume of work
