**Job Summary**

AECOM is actively seeking an experienced, creative, highly talented Outreach Coordinator - Commuter Program for immediate employment in the Rocky Hill, CT office. Will be covering the Fairfield County, Bridgeport, New Haven County or surrounding areas.

The Outreach Coordinator - Commuter Program develops and implements internal and external communications that include: internet/intranet content, press releases, award submissions, conference/tradeshow material, email messaging, and AECOM enterprise initiatives. Provides communication consultation to internal/external departments. Must have a combination of writing, graphics, organizational/management and people skills; understands the geography/business line, its goals/objectives and how it fits into the overall AECOM operations and strategic plans; understands the executive management structure, as well as the geography management for the regions and business lines.

Work Direction/Complexity: Must be able to work independently and as part of a team; manage multiple assignments; interact effectively with employees at all levels. Exercises sound judgment when communicating with internal and/or external clients or customers. Latitude of creativity is required to produce effective and successful communication materials. Works under limited supervision with final work product reviewed to validate consistency with branding requirements and messaging. May provide functional advice and training to less experienced team members.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Performs a range of transportation demand management, marketing and outreach tasks aimed at enhancing opportunities for individual travelers and commuters to utilize non-drive-alone means of transportation, including carpooling, vanpooling, public transit, bicycling, walking, teleworking, and other options.

+ Develop, promote, and/or implement a range of worksite operational programs aimed at improving business operations and increasing alternative mode use to improve overall air quality and mitigate traffic congestion.

+ Maintain outreach responsibilities in an assigned territory, including but not limited to:

+ Create new and manage existing partner/client relationships with employers and stakeholders

+ Conduct worksite assessments to guide the development and implementation of commuter programming

+ Assist with worksite/community-based TDM plans and guide the implementation of commuter options programs at employer sites (e.g. carpool, pre-tax transit benefits, compressed work weeks, bicycle programs, commute incentives);

+ Deepen existing employer partnerships through frequent contact and follow-up meetings, tracking program implementation and employee participation

+ Increase participation rates and program awareness among employees at partner locations

+ Generate new partnerships through cold calling, networking and referrals

+ Serve as a transportation resource for worksite partners and organizations within assigned territory

+ Conduct onsite events, promotions and marketing activities at partner sites to promote alternative mode use and register employees for regional programs and services

+ Attend local networking and public meetings

+ Conduct presentations for stakeholders, employers and commuters

+ Generate measurable results from employer or commuter participation in transportation-related modal promotions and incentive programs

+ Exceed monthly/quarterly/annual performance metrics

+ Track employer relationships and activities over time, by utilizing SalesForce.com

+ Devise new approaches to challenges encountered

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field or some college with equivalent related business experience

+ 3+ years of client management, business development, sales, marketing, outreach or other relevant business experience

+ Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills and experience in handling multiple tasks in an organized and efficient manner

+ Energetic, and articulate individual who has the communication skills and persuasiveness necessary to influence, motivate, and inform travelers in the use of travel options

+ Proven track record meeting job performance metrics

+ Ability to achieve objectives through teamwork

+ Must have current valid driver?s license

+ Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft OS

+ General office environment; requires frequent visits to project sites

+ Some heavy lifting (
+ Field office work will require reliable transportation, a valid driver?s license, and a good driving record

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Experience with Salesforce

+ Experience with Microsoft and Google suite of products
