Manufacturing leader in the consumer goods industry, is looking for a QUALITY ENGINEER! The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or consumer goods environment. The candidate will also need to possess a good understanding of Quality Systems development and implementation, auditing, receiving goods sampling and inspection methods (including surface plate and comparator), quality tools and techniques. Responsibilities for the Quality Engineer
  • Create/maintain documentation, logs and procedures in accordance to ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 standards.
  • Document and analyze returned product and suggest quality/design improvements.
  • Ensure that acceptance criteria for finished & semi finished products are adequately defined and are being followed.
  • Conduct product audits of finished goods and report results.
  • Creation, management and accuracy of new and existing products and catalog Bill of Materials (BOM) within Thule Oracle Program (MRP).
  • Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives by collecting and reporting on key metrics.
Requirements for the Quality Engineer
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
  • Must have 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Good understanding of Quality Systems development and implementation, auditing, receiving goods sampling and inspection methods (including surface plate and comparator), quality tools and techniques, SPC/SQC, and ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949: 2016 standards.
  • Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing and IMDS principles
  • Computer literate in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint). Knowledge of Oracle MRP system is a plus.
