TITLE: DATA COORDINATOR - SCHEDULES AND NT DATABASE

(PHS)

OBJECTIVES

Under the general supervision of the Assistant Principal and the Computer Network Systems Manager, implements computer based scheduling programs which include assisting with initial set ups of upcoming scheduling year-end and the daily maintenance of the scheduling database. Assists in monitoring and supervising the Computer Lab and providing data entry, class scheduling and PHS internal computer network.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Utilizes and coordinates all aspects of the Mac School modules including scheduling, school set up, Details, Report Manager, Query, Attendance and Scanning to run and implement reports either hardwired by Chancery or by creating templates in Report Manager for use by the administration, faculty, classified staff and Central Office.

Assists the administration in implementing and maintaining the Student Master Schedules.

Utilizes problem solving skills in relation to Macintosh and personal computers.

Maintains database of user accounts on the personal computer, implements purchase orders for school regarding computer related supplies and performing system back-up on daily basis using Mac School.

Monitors and supervises the Computer Lab in coordination with the Network System Manager.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Considerable knowledge of the computer based Mac School scheduling programs and network transmissions.

Knowledge of personal computer and Macintosh computer operations.

Ability to merge MacSchool software, Microsoft Works, Clarisworks and PC Word databases into one general database.

Ability to operate personal computer and utilize software applications.

Ability to serve as a troubleshooter in scheduling and attendance modules of MacSchool.

Ability to monitor and supervise the PHS Computer Lab.

Ability to maintain database of user accounts on the computer.

Ability to deal effectively with school administration, faculty and staff.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT OPERATION

Operates a personal computer, Mac School Student Information System, Pagemaker, scanner, copier and zip drive.

REQUIRED PHYSICAL EFFORT

Must be able to sit or stand at an assigned location, walk, work continuously for extended periods of time, bending, reaching and lifting.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum)

Graduation from high school plus one year of business school or college, plus 9-12 months of related experience or equivalent. SDL2017
