Job Description


Quality Technician

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm schedule.

Position Summary:

Encompasses the application of scientific and technological principles concerned with the integrity of manufactured products and processes from an engineering standpoint, esp. design specifications, testing procedures, and quality standards. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs First Article Inspection Reports using AS9102. Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. Areas of specialization include: incoming material, GD&T, attention to details. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.

Requires moderate understanding of the general aspects of the job and a familiarity with terminology and procedures. Familiar with AS9100 and the associated requirements such as FAI, internal auditing, etc. Must be proficient with Microsoft suite. Working knowledge of GD & T. Able to perform duties within prescribed timeframes and maintain confidentiality. Contacts are primarily within the immediate work group.

Education: AAS Desired, but not required. Candidates with an applicable 2 year degree will be given first preference.

Minimum Experience: 1-3 Years in a Quality Technician or similar role
