The Materials Planner is responsible for the development and execution of all site Materials Planning policies, procedures and tools in support of the Materials Management goals, objectives and key initiative as defined by the Standard Factory.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

+ Work with production management to determine production requirements.

+ Follow-up as required with team members to expedite flow of materials to meet production needs.

+ Interact with cross functional teams on a daily basis to resolve and prevent bottlenecks.

+ Work with quality and stock room in planning and implementing engineering changes in production materials.

+ Plan inventory management processes to avoid shortages and excesses.

+ Ensure, on an ongoing basis, that SAP parameters are accurate and up to date

+ Coordinate with other functional teams to ensure minimal obsolete and slow moving inventory and/or schedule impact.

+ Recommend and manage safety stock levels in support of the site Materials Management goals and objectives.

+ Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for part shortages associated with material planning issues

+ Maintain and report assigned Materials Management metrics

+ Other duties, as assigned

**Qualification:** 4 to 7 years of related experience

+ Must have minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing

+ Lean manufacturing/continuous improvement knowledge

+ Fully developed professional that is able to work without direct guidance or direction from others.

+ Planning skills and ability to execute plans in dynamic and rapidly changing circumstances

+ Interpersonal skills, team-player, but able to work independently and with minimum guidance if necessary

+ Positive thinking and "can do" attitude, self-starter, fast learner

+ Ability to work under pressure and with deadlines, able to work with multiple priorities is a must

+ Flexibility and willingness to deal with change and complexity is needed to meet the needs of our business and succeed in this role

+ Due to ITAR, all applicants must be a US Person or a current Green Card holder

+ Strong SAP knowledge

**Education:**

? BA/BS degree w/4?7+ years experience

? MA/MS degree w/2?5+ years experience

? PhD degree w/0?2+ years experience
