The Supervisor of MSG/Contract Services is responsible for managing the Facilities Planning and Scheduling process, the Stores Operations process, the Laundry Services Team, Champion the Maintenance Reliability program for the Facilities Team and supervising the contract services such as housekeeping, pest control, landscaping snow removal and so on.

Scope of responsibility covers 4 buildings collocated on the North Haven campus totaling over 1.5MM sf of occupied space, servicing ~2500 employees and containing ~200K sf of controlled environmental space.

This Role also has the responsibility for the management of the expense budgets associated to Site facilities maintenance,spend up to $10,000,000 for contractor services and spare parts annually.


* Overall responsibility for Planning and Scheduling Facilities work order with our manufacturing partner

* Responsible for the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of the Maintenance Excellence program for the Facilities team

* Govern the establishment and maintenance of an approved supplier list for contract and service work in support of North Haven Facilities support functions.

* Supervise personnel, with special emphasis on attendance, time management, and performance.

* Evaluate performance of personnel with emphasis on further development.

* Become a world class provider of support services for the North Haven Facilities maintenance through the following focused efforts:

o Tuning of existing central stores, parts procurement, planning, to be more self-sustaining and supplemented by Vendor Managed initiatives.

o Lead the Facilities organization in the Lean Process. Move towards self-sustaining operations with robust business processes.

o Develop Technical training capability of the team as we move towards Maintenance Excellence

* Provide the structure and organization to plan 90% of all Facilities work. Supply 100% of all parts for Manufacturing maintenance and Facilities Departments.

* Monitor inventory and verify equipment critical spare requirements to ensure that needed parts are on hand to avoid excessive equipment downtime.

* Ensure availability of manuals, schematics, software and other documentation for all assigned equipment

* Establish robust processes which handle all of the requirements for the department, working towards self-sustaining operations.

* Provide oversight of preventative maintenance task correctness for all major pieces of equipment, and manage predictive maintenance direction.

* Provide consistency between store operations The parts supply chain includes establishing accurate inventory and control of parts in storage, as well expedient processing of orders.

* Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization


Education required/ preferred: . Bachelor's Degree

* Computer literate (Microsoft Office and CMMS experience)

* 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in a Facilities/production maintenance environment

* Good communication skills (English language)

Experience: Must have a solid understanding of Maintenance excellence, including preventive and corrective maintenance for improved facilities system performance.

CRL Certifications

Skills/Competencies: Maintenance Excellence Leader, Stockroom Management, Planning and Scheduling Process. Also Contract management experience.

The Supervisor of MSG/Contract Services maintains a close working Relationship with all Manufacturing Maintenance supervisors for site wide objectives.

The Supervisor of MSG/Contract Services also maintains a strong working partnership with Manufacturing Focus Factory supervisors to assure continuity of manufacturing through deployment of best planning and scheduling processes.


Standard office setting, clean room, building mechanical systems, various clinical settings, surgical lab, model shop, supplier visits.

Frequent need to support efforts in facilities mechanical support areas including mechanical support rooms, boiler and electrical closets/rooms, roof and basement areas.

Work also may involve physical exertion in the transporting of various materials or equipment, lifting, moving. Work also may involve climbing duties and exposure to noise, dirt, odors, or similarly unpleasant surroundings.

Work may be performed in confined or restricted position or with exposure to temperature/weather extremes.
