IS/IT Coordinator

IS/IT Coordinator who will maintain our information technology systems and networks. You will perform both technical and administrative tasks to ensure functionality and efficiency of computer and telecom systems. An IT coordinator must be knowledgeable in software, hardware and networks. They must be critical thinkers and problem-solvers with great attention to detail. Since end user support and teamwork are important aspects of the role, excellent communication and people skills are required.

Essential Functions

  1. Institute protocols for the use of IT across departments and projects
  2. Provide advice on the most suitable IT choices
  3. Provide technical support or training for systems and networks
  4. Act as link between end users and higher level support
  5. Install and configure software and hardware (printers, network cards etc.)
  6. Monitor system and network performance
  7. Perform troubleshooting, repairs and data restoration
  8. Keep an active log of all company IT assets.
  9. Maintain licenses and upgrade schedules.
  1. Collaborate with other professionals to maintain standards and functionality

  2. Maintain NIST Compliance with the assistance of outside vendors.

  3. Monitor system security.

  4. Ensures uninterrupted systems usage during company's hours of operation.

  5. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hardware or software issues, and install updates or applications.

  6. Coordinate contractors and equipment or resource allocation.


  • Proven experience as IT coordinator or similar role

  • Experience in network management and help desk support is appreciated

  • Solid knowledge of IT systems and applications

  • Understanding of TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configuration

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Great attention to detail

  • Excellent organizational and coordination abilities

  • Certification (CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+ etc.) is a plus

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or equivalent number of years of experience

  2. Five (5) years of related experience with progressive management experience.

Master's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
