**Description:**

Develop, implement and audit environment, health and safety (EH&S) programs to support world-class performance and results consistent with internal policies and procedures and EH&S legal requirements. Responsibilities include:

+ Developing written programs to ensure regulatory compliance with applicable EH&S regulations.

+ Working collaboratively with all levels of site management to implement site specific written programs related to EH&S compliance.

+ Developing and delivering program specific EH&S training materials to assist the site to maintain regulatory compliance.

+ Providing assistance with the development and implementation of required EH&S regulatory controls.

+ Conduct internal audits, inspections, program evaluations, and gap analyses related to applicable regulatory and corporate programs to evaluate the effectiveness of regulatory controls.

+ Reduce or eliminate EH&S compliance risks related to industrial hygiene, control of hazardous energy, machine guarding, wastewater discharges, air emissions, waste management, etc.

+ Ensure corrective actions prevent reoccurrence through effective relentless root cause analysis.

+ Other activities as required.

**Qualification:** The successful candidate should have experience in government and industry EH&S regulatory compliance activities with a strong focus in health and safety. Proven ability to manage and mitigate compliance risks, and willingness to work in all aspects of EH&S. The following are absolutely necessary:

+ Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.

+ Ability to complete projects as assigned in a timely manner.

+ Strong organizational skill set.

+ Ability to communicate effectively with employees and all levels of management.

+ Ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency around maintaining a safe, compliant and efficient workplace.

+ Computer skills including Microsoft suite of programs.

+ ACE Associate (Preferred)

**Education:** Bachelor?s Degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science or other relevant field required
