POSITION SUMMARY:

Accounting functions performed in four major areas for the department - General ledger closing through consolidation, accounts payable, and payroll functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* General Ledger - assists and/or prepares consolidated financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and other significant reports as required.

* Journal Entries - prepare entries, including supporting documentation, for recurring, standard, and accrual entries

* Accounts Payable - Control and payment of vendor invoices, P-cards, intercompany charges, and review outstanding e-procurement issues

* Payroll - Responsible for the preparation and reconciliation of time reporting aspect of the bi-weekly payroll for the CT location (currently using ADP). Payroll size is approximately 130 employees.

* Capital expenditure tracking and maintenance of the Fixed Asset System (FAS)

* Preparation and analysis of various reports (e.g. Scrap, Bad Debt Reserve, OPEX and VAVE report, RMA report, and various SOX-related reports)

* Preparation of the monthly consolidated Accounts Receivable Aging report (AR-1)

* Generation of the daily invoicing

* Sales tax returns, currently quarterly (CT, WA)

* Prepare schedules for Sarbanes Oxley compliance and quarter end self-testing as required by Corporate Internal Audit
