Cogstate is one of the world's leading providers of computerized cognitive tests for use in human research trials. Cogstate provides its products and services to pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and healthcare companies via its offices in the USA, Australia and Europe.

Cogstate is seeking a Data Coordinator in the New Haven, Connecticut office.

In this role you will work within a team of project managers, data managers, programmers, scientific and support staff in a dynamic and face-paced environment to manage Cogstate data in Phase I-III clinical trials world-wide.

The successful candidate will have a strong interest in the pharmaceutical development process, demonstrated work ethic and team work in a professional environment, a special aptitude and interest in technical and scientific information, data management and project management skills as well as relevant education and professional experience.

This role will require extensive written and phone interactions with customers and study sites located worldwide.

Essential Job Functions

Manage and execute tasks in line with project plans, company SOPs and industry regulatory standards, including the following:

* Monitoring of study data for resolution of data discrepancies in Cogstate's data management system

* Monitoring of study data for quality

* Assist in preparation of data management documentation

* Assist in preparation and quality control of data extracts for transfer to customer

* Assist in building and testing custom software packages and database set-up

* Assist in training new and support staff

* Filing and archiving study documents and emails


* Bachelor's degree in a scientific or a technical discipline (psychology, nursing, biology, sociology, computer science or engineering) or demonstrated professional experience, preferably with data, software or other technical discipline

* 0-2 years' work experience, may be unrelated to clinical trials

* Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English;

* Ability to multi-task, being highly organized and methodical, with attention to detail;

* Strong people skills within the team and with customers and third party providers

* Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, work independently, plan and be proactive;

* High level of computer literacy (experience working with clinical software preferable);

* Aptitude for understanding and leading one's work from Industry, Regulatory and Quality, Commercial and Financial concept
