Position SummaryResponsible for knowing all aspects of department operations and for achieving daily and weekly department goals. Provide leadership to all team members in the department by conducting meetings, training, communicating information, and scheduling work, performing administrative tasks and, providing technical support. .

Essential Functions:

* Monitor the production floor; Proactive in the area of productivity and scrap requirements, downtime and processing issues.

* Provide leadership to crewmembers. Communicate daily production priorities.

* Monitor housekeeping, safety requirements, and 5s on a daily basis to ensure they are met and maintained.

* Monitor and verify all SDN's written for accuracy and completeness.

* Monitor all PTN's in the dept. Make sure they are active and prior to end date; condition is either corrected to PTN target date is extended.

* Train new colleagues as needed; conduct group communications/training sessions.

* Conduct group communication (Tier Meeting) to entire crews.

* Provide conflict resolution by being the first layer of this process. Document and provide to supervision as needed.

* Assist and work closely with Technical staff.

* Work with trainers and other team members to monitor new colleagues training and provide feedback.

* Administrative requirements, monitor daily attendance for crewmembers and providing O/T coverage needs.

* Order all materials needed in the dept. and ship out all products in the ERP system from weekly schedule requirements.

* Ensure machine coverage during all breaks.

AccountabilitiesPhysical requirements:

* Be able to move (push, pull, or otherwise manipulate) materials up to 90lb with assistance and 50lb independently.

Required Skills and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED.

Must have excellent, accurate written and oral communication and decision-making skills.

Proficient in Computer Skills; Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point.

The ability to learn the Electronic Reporting System (SAP, Factory Report It, L2L System, etc.) fully to execute weekly schedule requirements, get daily reports as needed and changeover tasks.
