Job Description

Essential JobFunctions:

  1. Manage retail store location within the agency'sestablished policy to achieve budgeted revenue and expense.

  2. Recruit, train and evaluate retail employees in retailoperation procedures.

  3. Schedule employees to achieve optimum customerservice, merchandise display, store security and expense control.

  4. Plan attractive merchandise displays that makeeffective use of sales area.

  5. Maintain records of sales data and bank deposits.

  6. Enforce sales policies and procedures and employee policiesand procedures.

  7. Maintain store premises and grounds in compliance withagency safety and housekeeping practices.

  8. Supervise and train employees in backroom processingand quality control procedures.

  9. Order merchandise to stock store to achieve budget.

  10. Participate in community business activities such asmerchant associations or local Chamber of Commerce meetings when directed.

  11. Attend marketing sales meetings. Schedule store employee meetings asnecessary.

  12. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  1. High school graduate or equivalent with courses inBusiness and Marketing.

  2. Two years experience in a management/supervisorycapacity or equivalent.

  3. Able to supervise and train in shipping/receivingfunctions, stock duties, merchandising, cashiering and customer service retail.

  4. Willing to travel and relocate.

Working Conditions:

  1. Works in retail selling area, stockroom, processingarea and adjacent parking area.

  2. Considerable walking, standing, reaching, lifting,carrying, talking, hearing, seeing, bending, pushing and pulling.

  3. Exposure to inclement weather.

  4. Work with others.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend and reach.

  2. Must be able to lift over 40 pounds.
