Engineering Role in Manufacturing Solutions within the Aerospace Industry
Located near Milford, CT
The Manufacturing Engineer will plan and direct various activities that includes application, development and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials and products. In addition, this candidate will meet customer satisfaction, quality programs and reliability duties. In addition, this candidate will report to the Operations Manager.
?? Will improve and document processes to enhance manufacturing functions within the organization.
?? Local control and dissemination of quality documents through use of the corporate, and internal, change management systems.
?? Perform PFMEA reviews for new and existing projects
?? Represent manufacturing on cross-functional teams (ex. NPD) and is responsible for the timely execution of manufacturing project plans.
?? Implementing lean manufacturing processes which would include kaizen events and managing the organization's manufacturing duties
?? Collaborating with operators to document their processes as well as handling the engineering duties within the manufacturing department
?? Will be heavily involved in safety and 5S procedures
?? Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or any other related field
?? 5 years' experience in manufacturing environment with the Aerospace Industry
?? Highly skilled in AutoCAD or SolidWorks
?? US Citizen or a Green Card Holder
?? Proficient in lean manufacturing processes (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S, etc.)
